“It Takes a Village” is an original painting created by Sandi Garris. Her “canvas” is silk fiber, which absorbs color brilliantly. Using resists and liquid acrylic, she paints, continuously aware of color balance and subtle variations in hue and intensity. An avid traveler, she is inspired by visual experiences around the world. While drawing, she works to capture her emotional memory of the place, rather than a literal rendering of the scene. The result is a unique illustrative image that nudges the boundaries of reality. This piece comes fully framed, using the highest quality materials, and is ready to hang on your wall. Free shipping.
Sandi has been a full time fiber artist since 1987 and has won numerous awards for her body of work at juried art fairs throughout the country. She lives in State College, Pennsylvania.DETAILS:
